My Latest Addiction: Internet Inspiration

Lately, I’ve been trying my best to write consistently, which in turns means thinking of things to write about.

Because of this, I’ve been doing some internet exploration, leading me to find my new favourite website, Upworthy.com.

I’m inLOVE (and it seems like I’m not the only one as over 4 million people like Upworthy on Facebook). I’m arriving a little late to this party apparently.

It’s an amazing site full of inspirational and provoking videos and images, highlighting everything from political issues to heroic acts to everyday beauty. I can honestly say I’ve watched two dozen videos over the last couple of days, because I just can’t get enough.

My favourites so far include this clip of a news anchor who stands up to some pretty rude and intolerable feedback from a viewer (the most shared on the site), and this video clip of Ellen giving it to “the man” over being asked to promote a sexist product (she’s so funny!).

Some of the videos are hilarious (like hurts from laughing funny), some are tearjerkers, and some make you downright livid.

Anyways, here’s one that I really enjoy (there are so many, but I thought that this was a good one to share):

Basically, Upworthy.com is a great way to binge on wonderful.

I’m enjoying it so much, I feel like it should almost be a guilty pleasure. But, it’s calorie-free, sugar-free, and guilt-free, unless I’m watching it when I should be doing something productive like making dinner or doing the laundry. But, that’s never the case of course…
