thankful for sleepless nights

Just four short months ago, we welcomed a new baby into the family. A family that was already rich with the laughter of two wonderful kids. And I have never felt so lucky in my life.

So, while the day-to-day craziness can sometimes be draining, and I far too often take our amazing life for granted, I am thankful beyond words for all of it.

I am thankful for sleepless nights, because that means I have a sweet baby who is hungry and growing.

I am thankful for having to wake up early to pack lunches, because it means my kids are off to school to learn and play.

I am thankful for my tiny side of the bed, because it means my husband who loves me is hogging the other side.

I am thankful for a sink full of dishes, because it means I was too busy with my wonderful family to get them done.

And, I am thankful for complete and utter exhaustion, because it means I was lucky enough to spend another busy day chasing arbd my family.

Even in the things I normally complain about, there is much to be thankful for.
